  1. La Ganesan was sworn in as the 21st Governor of Nagaland on 20 February, 2023.
  2. In Aero India, the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd has received the Indian Technical Standard Order (ITSO) authorisation from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for its indigenously developed Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR), which are popularly known as ‘black boxes’.
  3. The Boxing Federation of India announced the appointment of Dmitry Dmitruk as Indian boxing team’s new foreign coach on 21 February, 2023.
  4. India and Fiji have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports. Under this agreement, diplomatic and official passport holders will be able to enter, transit, and stay in each other territories without a visa for a period not exceeding 90 days.
  5. Three-day long Millet Festival was organised from 22-25 February, 2023 in Mumbai.
  6. Former Commerce Secretary and IAS officer BVR Subrahmanyam was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Niti Aayog. He has taken over from Parameswaran Iyer, who has been named as the Executive Director of World Bank.
  7. Indian teen Tilottama Sen won the bronze medal in the women’s 10m Air Rifle at ISSF World Cup 2023 in Cairo in Egypt.
  8. On 20 February 2023, the 190th Meeting of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) was held in Chandigarh under the chairmanship of Shri Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Environment, Forest, and Climate Change.
  9. The German anti-war film ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ won seven awards, including Best Film and Best Director awards at the BAFTA Awards 2023.
  10. Dr. Mahendra Kumar Mishra, an Indian educator and social worker for the advancement of indigenous languages in Odisha, received the World Mother Language Award from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
  11. The Martin Foundation in association with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation and Space Zone India launched the APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission-2023 from the Pattipolam village of Chengalpattu district in Tamil Nadu. 
  12. The second round of the India-Iraq Foreign Office Consultations was held on 20 February, 2023 in Baghdad.
  13. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has awarded the title sponsorship rights of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) to Tata Group for five seasons (2023-2027).
  14. Uber signed an MoU with Tata Motors, India’s leading carmaker, to bring 25,000 electric vehicles onto the platform. The agreement between Uber and Tata Motors is the largest EV commitment yet between an automaker and a ridesharing platform in India.
  15. Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, was elected as the Shiv Sena’s supreme leader during the party’s national executive meeting in Mumbai.
  16. Emmy-nominated actress Barbara Bosson passed away on 18 February 2023, at the age of 83.
